This traditional Shropshire is made at Hartington Creamery from local Derbyshire milk. It has a pretty orange colour from annatto, a natural colorant that contrasts with the blue marbling. The rind is natural. The cheese is ripened for 8 to 9 weeks for a very creamy result. This is a mild, tart blue. It’s an excellent cheese to crumble in salads, eat with figs or other fruit, or savour with port or red wine. It won the silver medal at the Virtual Cheese Awards 2021.
